MR. AKINYELU SUNDAY
Akinyelu, Joseph Sunday, holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons) degree in Linguistics with Second Class Upper Division from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos. He also earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in English Communication from Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rivers State, where he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the same field.
He is a seasoned lecturer in Linguistics and English Language at Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri. He also serves as an adjunct lecturer in English Language at the Baptist College of Education, Obinze, Imo State. Over the years, he has developed a strong academic profile through his teaching, research, and scholarly contributions.
Akinyelu has authored and co-authored book chapters and scholarly articles published in reputable local and international journals, with a particular interest in exploring the intricate relationships between language and music.
His academic engagements also extend to serving as a consultant editor for journals, books, theses, and dissertations. Passionate about advancing knowledge, Akinyelu takes pride in contributing to innovative academic research and intellectual discourse.
His research interests span communication, social media, language studies, and the interplay between language and the musical aspect of a people’s culture. He is a member of the Linguistic Association of Nigeria (LAN) and other affiliated professional organisations.
